Former BBC Advisers Participate in Parliamentary Grilling In the Wake of Claims of Prejudice in Unauthorized Memorandum

Ex- British Broadcasting Corporation consultants appearing in front of Members of Parliament

We start with inquiries from Conservative MP the panel's head, that chairs the committee.

She initiates by offering background to the disclosed document written by Michael Prescott and published in a national newspaper.

"It is not my wish for the BBC slanting in any particular direction, My only wish is for it balanced, fair and fair," he says.

Upon being questioned whether he thinks the BBC is institutionally biased, Prescott answers: "Absolutely not. Let's be clear, a great deal the British Broadcasting Corporation produces is exceptional - including informative and non-factual shows."

But he adds: "There exists substantial tasks that must be undertaken at the British Broadcasting Corporation."

A further ex-adviser British Broadcasting Corporation specialist interviewed by the group, Caroline Daniel, states she regards the BBC extremely earnestly and that it has a "ongoing system and active debate" regarding dynamic and complex subjects.

"Was the BBC willing to have a genuine dialogue and argument and take action?" she asks herself. "In my view, indeed, they were."
