Los Angeles experienced widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series championship. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.

Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds

Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.

Social media videos depict thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, raising the Commissioner’s trophy proudly.

“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.

The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions

Celebrations began prior to the procession, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The World Series MVP, named the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented plainly about the victory.

“Losing is not an option,” he stated. “I love the Dodgers. This city means everything to me.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, Mark Walter was met with a cooler reception at the celebration. Recordings from the gathering seem to depict him taking the stage to a combination of applause and jeers, with negative shouts interrupting his address.

The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.

“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
