Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold on a six-year contract

The defender's comeback is moving forward well, giving a chance that the Madrid right-back might be fit in time to play against his former club Liverpool in the upcoming European tie.

The English international experienced a hamstring injury during a match against French side Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on September 16.

Alexander-Arnold exited the pitch in the fifth minute, with early estimates indicating a potential layoff of around a month and a half.

Real Madrid will travel to visit Liverpool on 4 November for the European match—exactly over a month after the incident took place.

Reports familiar with the situation state that the defender's healing process is progressing well, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold might achieve his first comeback to Anfield since signing for Real Madrid in the summer.

A devoted Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that leaving the club he entered as a six-year-old academy player was the "hardest choice he has ever made."

During his tenure with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold made 354 appearances, contributing to secure two English top-flight championships, a European Cup, and the FA Cup.

Since joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has played on five occasions in various tournaments, totaling 156 minutes of playing time.
