Each are being considered with the manager's job at the Scottish champions following Brendan Rodgers' resignation on the start of the week.

The Manager's Stance on The Scottish Club

McKenna described Celtic as "a really big football club" but stressed he is "in the middle" of a "extensive rebuilding" with the Championship side.

The 39-year-old took charge of Ipswich in recent years and led them to the Premier League with back-to-back promotions, but they won just four games last season as they were relegated back to the Championship and they currently sit twelfth place in the Championship.

"There have been any of those conversations," the London-born ex- Irish young player said when asked about being on Celtic's shortlist.

"This isn't a matter I have given any thought to, or where any portion of my concentration is this week.

"I have a unique job here at a special club. And we're at a crucial stage of the season. Everything external hasn't touched my awareness."

Context and Agreement Aspects

Reports indicate that the manager would be willing to talk to Celtic given his childhood support.

"Growing up, we all have our affinities," he said when questioned about those. "I don't think everyone has to go around and announce what they were, but of course it's a really big football club."

The coach agreed to a new four-year contract in last year and was questioned about his reported buyout clause.

"In every manager's contract, there are provisions," he replied. "I don't know what mine are and, if I did, I wouldn't tell you anyway!

"I tackle this role like I will remain Town's coach indefinitely. I know that's not invariably going to be the case, but I'll always do my best as long as I remain in position."

The Welsh Coach's Position

The former striker played for the Hoops on temporary transfer from the Magpies in 2005, but the ex- Wales forward is inclined to complete the ongoing World Cup campaign, a stance that would practically eliminate the mid-forties from immediately taking the Glasgow position.

The Welsh squad are currently third in their qualifying group behind leaders the Red Devils and second-placed North Macedonia.

Victories over the minnows and North Macedonia in next month would secure their place in the qualification play-offs, but they are virtually assured of reaching that stage, due to a successful European competition campaign, even if they fail to finish as their group runners-up.

Considering his current stance, Bellamy, whose contract concludes after Euro 2028, would not be available until after the play-offs at the minimum.
